Dr Ahmad has been working within the NHS for the last 20 years and has been heavily involved in teaching and training for the last 15 year through North West deanery and Manchester University.

He specialises into teaching the communication skills needed for PLAB examination.

  • 10.30 – 11.00 – Introduction and basic principles for Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • 11.00 – 11.30 – Tips: How to phrase and display great communication skills? How to avoid formulaic consultation?
  • 11.30 – 12.00 – PLAB 2: Why do people fail and why do they pass? An examiner’s perspective
  • 12.00 – 01.30 – Various Role-play scenarios
  • 01:30 – General remarks and conclude
The teaching will not be generic and prepares candidates to deal with all scenarios and cope with any variations on pre-existing scenarios.
